The company which looks after five Recycling Centres in Denbighshire and Conwy are donating more than £6,000 to two charities in the area.
Bryson Recycling is giving more than £6,500 to RNLI Rhyl and Abergele Community Action through its annual "Recycling Rewards" campaign.
The campaign, launched in April 2023, aims at boosting local recycling rates while raising funds for charities.
At the three sites they manage in Denbighshire, Rhyl, Ruthin and Denbigh, £1 is donated to RNLI Rhyl for every tonne recycled.
For the past year, 3171 tonnes were recycled, resulting in a £3171 donation to the charity.
Abergele Community Action will also receive £3411, reflecting the 3411 tonnes recycled at Bryson's two Conwy sites in Abergele and Mochdre.
Gareth Walsh, general manager at Bryson Recycling said: "We are delighted to make this donation through our Recycling Rewards campaign to two great charities which are making a really positive contribution in the local area.
" It’s great news that through using our Recycling Centres, residents are not just having a positive impact on the environment, but also helping to benefit our communities."
Councillor Barry Mellor, lead member for environment and transport for the council said: "Denbighshire County Council declared a climate change emergency in July 2019, and it aims to become a Net Carbon Zero Council by 31 March 2030. Recycling is a key element of delivering this ambitious programme and the Council is proud of its high recycling rates."
RNLI Rhyl coxswain Martin Jones thanked Bryson Recycling for its "amazing" donation and highlighted the crucial role it would play in equipping and training their volunteer crews.
Linda Tavernor of Abergele Community Action shared how every penny will contribute to helping local people in crisis through emergency food parcels and suitable support solutions.
