A Royalty Parade, funfair, falconry and wrestling can only mean one thing - the 2024 Denbigh Carnival is back.

From noon on Saturday, June 22, Middle Fields will once more be bustling with events and activities as the carnival bursts into life.

Organised by a committee of volunteers and supported by Denbigh Town Council and local businesses, the carnival offers fun events and activities for all the family.

The highlight of the show is the Royalty Parade, with the children successfully nominated as carnival royalty will join a parade of floats through the town.

Visitors will line the streets as the procession departs from the council offices on Smithfield Road, passing through Lenten Pool, over the High Street and down Vale Street, before turning onto Ruthin Road and Park Street to enter Middle Fields.

All afternoon there will be stalls, games, animal encounters, live music and dancing plus a funfair offering activities to suit everyone's taste.

Entry is free and there is also a shuttle bus with pickups from Nantglyn, Saron and Prion. Seats are free but must be booked in advance by emailing denbighcarnival123@gmail.com.

This year, in addition to the council, the carnival has been supported by sponsors including Denbigh Rotary Club, Clocaenog Forest Windfarm Trust, CAD Recycling and Breedon Construction Materials.
