ORGANSIERS of this year's 77th Eisteddfod have revealed everything you need to know as the events draws closer.

The Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod is delighted to be providing a fantastic line up of live music between Tuesday, June 18 and Saturday, July 13 2024.

This year, they have partnered with Cuffe and Taylor / Live Nation to deliver an extended programme of events and look forward to welcoming incredible artists to the stage in addition to the traditional Core Eisteddfod programme.

Resident F&Qs

Are the sound levels being monitored by the council?

Yes. A stringent sound management policy that is managed and adhered to by a recognised independent company.

Will there be fireworks?

No.

Why is there a one-way traffic system in place on event days?

For 2024, the system is being introduced to maintain a safe environment for the general public and to allow traffic to slow safely through the town.

Will there be additional security?

Yes, this will be arranged during concerts.

Will I be able to access the pavilion grounds during the concert period?

The pavilion grounds will be closed to the general public from Sunday, June 16 until Wednesday July, 17. Access will be for ticket holders only.

Key information

Travel to and from the venue

Car parking is available on the field above the pavilion and is expected to sell out. Customers are advised to pre-book their travel or walk to the pavilion if possible. Car parking prices will increase on the day of the event if not pre-booked.

No overnight car parking is permitted. The car park will open daily at 3pm on concert days and close at midnight or after the last car has left. The car park will be locked overnight. 

Experienced traffic management company Core Highways will be managing car parking, traffic management and signage for the duration of the events.

Resident Access

As part of traffic management plans, there is a planned one-way system in place to ensure the safety and security of all concert goers and residents on all concert days. There will be 'no parking' cones and signage in the below locations:

  • June 18 - June 29 from 2pm until midnight along Tower Road / Dinbren Road.
  • July 11 - July 13 from 2pm until midnight along Tower Road / Dinbren Road.
  • July 2 - July 7 all day along Tower Road / Dinbren Road.
  • July 3 from 4.30pm in Llangollen Town Centre (Parade of Nations).
