A fitting treat of strawberries and cake was laid on to mark the 60th anniversary of Ruthin Hospital League of Friends.
In the 1980s and 90s the League, which was founded in 1964, held an annual Strawberry Fair to raise funds for the hospital, typically raising around £1,000 each year.
Guest speakers at this year's meeting of the League were past Chairman Peter Lewis, Sylvia Hughes and Arnold Hughes. Along with current chairman Morfudd Jones, they took members on a trip down Memory Lane, reminiscing about the early years of the group and first chairman Margaret Roberts, who worked tirelessly to raise money for the League for over 30 years.
"We thank the League of Friends for their work over the decades," said Dyfed Edwards, Chair of Betsi Cadwaladr Health Board. "We look forward to continuing to work with members long into the future to support Ruthin Community Hospital."
