On the 20th anniversary of her arrival, the new managing director of historic Welsh law firm, Swayne Johnson, pledged to continue its steady growth.
Lynette Viney-Passig first joined the firm, which traces all the way back to the 19th century, as a 22-year-old law graduate.
Then they ran just two offices, Denbigh and St Asaph, with a private client department with only six people.
Now, their footprint spans six offices across Wales, including their latest addition in Mold, and their team has welcomed 33 members to the private client department.
Mrs Viney-Passig, who lives in Northop with her three children and surveyor husband, shares that when she first arrived at the firm, she felt "very welcome and looked after."
She recalls: "I really didn’t expect to be offered the job but I was.
"David Hooson, a former partner of the firm, kindly offered me the opportunity to live in one of his properties at Segrwyd Hall, near Denbigh so everything fell into place and it was as though it was meant to be."
During her two-decade-long journey with Swayne Johnson, she worked closely with Sarah Noton, previous managing director, in the private client department handling wills, trusts, tax, and probate.
Looking back, Mrs Viney-Passig said: "I didn’t plan on specialising in Private Client but when I joined Swayne Johnson and started working with Sarah, I really enjoyed it and quickly knew it was a perfect opportunity for me."
Today, beyond her duties as Managing Director, the mum-of-three also serves as a governor at St David’s Catholic Primary School in Mold, where her children study.
Mrs Viney-Passig has said that the growth in the company is set to continue as he explains: "Continued growth in North Wales and Cheshire has always been one of our top priorities and finally being able to open our Mold office has been particularly exciting because I’ve had my sights on this thriving market town for quite some time.
"We’ve secured an excellent location in the centre of the town and we are proud to be finally serving the community of Mold and the surrounding areas."
She also added: "Being appointed Managing Director of a firm with such a strong heritage is a great honour and I and my fellow Directors are committed to securing the future of the business so that it is around to serve its clients and our communities for many more years to come."
