The Square in Corwen is a little hotter after the opening of Indian-Bangladeshi fusion restaurant Valley Spice.
Opening night attracted around 50 guests to sample the new eatery's menu, which brings together Asian flavours with locally-sourced produce.
The restaurant was officially opened by the Chairman of Corwen Town Council, Cllr Michael McNamara, and owner Abdur Rouf had a cake specially made to share with customers for the occasion.
Among the first guests the most popular dish was Lamb Shank and King Prawn Silsila, a hot fusion curry cooked with fresh green chilli and fresh mixed peppers.
"Everyone had a great time and we were thrilled the Chairman of the council was able to join us to cut the ribbon," said Abdur.
"People really seemed to love the contemporary look we have created and the menu we have put together. We are just pleased that we can now welcome our guests and concentrate on giving them a wonderful experience."
