A North Wales consultancy firm has acquired four new specialists.
Caulmert, which has officers in Bangor and St Asaph, has expanded its UK footprint with the acquisition of Sheffield-based company, Crowley Associates.
This partnership is expected to bolster Caulmert’s planning capability and expand its reach.
The acquisition brings a four-strong team of experts to Caulmert and fits within the company’s ambitious growth plans.
Looking ahead, Caulmert hopes to double its turnover to more than £7.5 million over the next five years.
Susan Crowley, founder of Crowley Associates and a chartered member of the Royal Town Planning Institute, is set to join the newly reshaped Caulmert board as director of planning.
She said: "The timing was right, and this was simply too good an opportunity to pass up on."
Ms Crowley will be joining a team of directors and business development managers to steer Caulmert’s future direction.
In the short term, Crowley Associates will continue to operate under its own brand.
The company specialises in planning consultancy within a wide range of sectors including city centre regeneration, student housing schemes, and leisure and healthcare facilities.
Ms Crowley said: "We are really looking forward to rolling out the multi-disciplinary offer, building upon the strong reputation Caulmert already has throughout planning, engineering, and the environment."
Caulmert founder and managing director, Mike Caulfield, said: "It’s a fantastic time for the business, but specifically the planning department, which has been strengthened by a wealth of expertise.
"We at Caulmert are looking towards a bright future and this news will only help accelerate our plans and objectives."
Founded in 2009, Caulmert's expertise in engineering, environmental, and planning disciplines is complemented by its use of Building Information Modelling (BIM) at an advanced level on many projects.
