A Denbighshire pub is expecting to reopen next month following a £1.5 million refurbishment project.
The Bridge End, situated on Mill Street in Llangollen, closed its doors in May this year for a four-month transformation after the premises was taken over by new management Aspire Inns Pub Company in October 2023.
Despite initial discussions that the pub would be ready by the end of July, owners have said estimated completion is now end of August, with a specific date to be confirmed soon.
The work includes a full refurbishment of seven letting rooms, new bathrooms, a function room, a new kitchen and a more spacious bar area.
Owned by Robinsons Brewery and Country Village Inns LTD, the pub has been a favourite among locals and tourists for years situated next to the stunning River Dee.
Frequent updates have been shared to social media showcasing the progress being made to the pub's interior.
Regular customers say it is unrecognisable but will be glad when it finally reopens.
Previously, managing director of Country Village Inns LTD Matthew Cooper said: "I’m confident that everyone will be happy with the finished product and can’t wait to open the doors and welcome everyone back."
All updates will be shared on the Bridge End Llangollen Facebook page with an exact opening date to be announced very soon.
