A GROUP of volunteers helped rescue a family of five who had been lost "for hours".
North East Wales Search and Rescue (NEWSAR) has released details of the incident which occurred on Friday night.
A spokesperson said: "Just when our medal ceremony was starting on Friday night, we got a call from North Wales Police requesting our assistance with two adults, two children and a baby who had lost their way on Moel Famau.
"They had been wandering for hours trying to get back to their car.
"We used SARLOC phonefind to locate them, at which point a vehicle and a few team members were deployed to collect them and get them safely back to their car."
