A RESTAURANT in Ruthin has said it is “disappointed” after being given a food hygiene rating of zero following a recent inspection.
Himalaya, a restaurant and takeaway at 32 Well Street, was given the minimum score after an inspection on June 13.
The report stated that “urgent improvement” was needed with regards to the business’ management of food safety.
This refers to the system or checks in place to ensure that food sold or served is safe to eat, evidence that staff know about food safety, and the confidence the food safety officer has that standards will be maintained in future.
“Major improvement” was deemed necessary for its hygienic food handling, including preparation, cooking, re-heating, cooling and storage.
