A SITE in Denbigh previously used as office space by Denbighshire County Council has been put up for sale.

The Caledfryn site, on Smithfield Road, is on the market via estate agents Legat Owen.

It follows the council’s decision to vacate the premises, while a spokesperson for Legat Owen said no offers have been accepted yet.

Offers in excess of £1million have been invited for the property.

A council spokesperson said: “Denbighshire County Council has vacated the office space in Caledfryn in Denbigh as part of its strategy to rationalise assets.

“Staff are now working at other council sites in the county.

“The council has been working with partners to make arrangements for the future use of the site and to ensure it benefits the town.”

The property is offered by way of informal tender, with a closing date of Friday, September 27 at 12pm.

Caledfryn was constructed in the late 1990s and was used by Denbighshire County Council since then.

The three-storey building measures approximately 23,500 square feet, with approximately 160 car parking spaces.
