THE register of financial interests for MPs in the UK has been published for 2024-25, including for those representing Denbighshire, Conwy, Gwynedd and Anglesey.

Below, you can find what Becky Gittins (Labour, Clwyd East), Gill German (Labour, Clwyd North), Claire Hughes (Labour, Bangor Aberconwy), Llinos Medi (Plaid Cymru, Ynys Môn) and Liz Saville Roberts (Plaid Cymru, Dwyfor Meirionnydd) have declared.

This list is created by House of Commons, officials based on information provided to them by MPs.

All MPs have to register their financial interests within 28 days of a new Parliament beginning, with newly elected MPs required to declare any relevant interests from the year prior to the election.

They must also notify the House of Commons of any changes or additions that happen throughout the parliament within 28 days.

Note: Liz Saville Roberts is the only MP on this list who was not newly elected on July 5.

Mrs Gittins has four listed donors; three of whom are trade unions.

The other is Gary Lubner, the former chief executive of Belron (parent company of Autoglass), and who earlier this year donated £4.5million to the Labour Party.

A £7,500 donation from Mr Lubner has been attributed to Mrs Gittins.

Mrs Gittins also received a £10,000 donation from The Union of Shop, Distributive and Allied Workers, £9,800 from public service union UNISON, and £7,500 from the GMB.

Gill German (Clwyd North) – total declared: £17,546.37

Ms German declared a final payment of £546.37 from Denbighshire County Council, which she received on July 27.

She was serving as Denbighshire County Council’s deputy leader and cabinet member for education, children and families prior to her election on July 5.

Though she continued as a county councillor until the end of July, she did so “without financial allowance”.

Indeed, Ms German’s final payment refers to work as council leader which she undertook prior to being elected an MP – in the “hours” section, she states: “none since my election”.

Meanwhile, Ms German declared a £7,000 donation from the GMB, and £10,000 from think tank Labour Together Ltd.

Also included on Ms German’s register of interests is the unpaid role she held as a non-executive director of Denbighshire Leisure Ltd until July 15.

Claire Hughes (Bangor Aberconwy) – total declared: £10,000

Mrs Saville Roberts also declared £725 as the probable value of a trip to Spain from September 10-11, 2023, paid by The Greens/European Free Alliance, a political group of the European Parliament.

The purpose of this trip was so that she could speak at an international political conference, which the European Free Alliance organised.

This estimated total of £725 was broken down into £255 on return flights for a member of staff to accompany her, £70 on taxi costs to and from Barcelona Airport, and an approximate £400 on hotel accommodation for two people.

This figure covered flights, accommodation, meals and transport, and was repaid to the Nuclear Industry Association on November 10.

The purpose of this trip was to visit Olkiluoto 3 nuclear power plant and the Onkalo geological disposal facility, as part of a nuclear energy all-party parliamentary group visit.

She also declared a house in Gwynedd, which she co-owns with two family members, as a property with a value of more than £100,000.
