THE annual Ruthin Flower Show enjoyed a successful return for 2024 last weekend.
Held on Saturday, August 17 at the Ruthin Farmer’s Auction, Parc Glasdir, the family-friendly event gave gardeners the chance to show off their produce.
There were also dozens of displays, including an array of classic cars for people to peruse. It is a safe, friendly family show.

Gates opened at 11am, after which there were horse and dog shows, axemen, birds of prey, ukelele performances, a demonstration by a canine display team, fancy dress, and a parade of classic vehicles.
The day ended with a presentation of cups and prize money gifted to the winners of various competitions which were held at the event.
The earliest records of the Ruthin Flower Show date back to 1899, with many more competitions having been added since then.
It resumed in 2022, after its 2020 and 2021 events had to be cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
