Headteacher Trefor Jones praised pupils at Ysgol Brynhyfryd for achieving excellent GCSE results today despite the unprecedented disruption they have faced.
Alluding to the pandemic, when many of today's students faced a prolonged absence from school, the head of the Ruthin school said: "We are hugely proud of our young people's successes in their GCSE results.
"Today is an opportunity to look back over the past five years of hard work, despite the unique challenges they have faced.
"The fact that so many of our pupils' ensured excellent results is a reflection of their commitment, perseverance and talent. I also want to take the opportunity to thank the school staff and the wider community for supporting the pupils through the years.
"We wish all our young people well as they start the next part of their educational journey, wherever that may be."
