THE Henllan Flower Show will return next month.
This year’s show will be held on September 14 (2pm start), in The Church Institute on Lon Fain in Henllan, and there will be a marquee.
For a copy of the schedule, contact the show secretary Fiona Dupays (01745 815609) or email enquiries@henllanflowershow.co.uk
The flower show has two types of classes:
- Open Classes (open to anyone to enter, entries have been as far as from Craig Y Don, Llanrwst etc.)
- Local Classes (open to entries Henllan and within 2.5 miles from the Church Tower in Henllan)
Various Cups, certificates and medals are given to the best entries.
There are entries for flowers, vegetables, fruit, heaviest or longest vegetable, Henllan Master Gardener, and more.
In addition, there will be classes in floral art, craft technology, cookery, woodwork, metalwork, photography and, new this year, men-only cookery, involving jam or lemon drizzle loaf cake making (recipe supplied in Henllan Flower Show Brochure).
The show also offers an annual chance for visitors, residents and friends to meet up in the village to peruse the entries and have tea and cake.
