Corwen Community Garden recently held a Feast and Forage event, serving up an array of food cooked and foraged from its grounds.

The event, supported by Nature for Health, helped to highlight the benefits of having access to nature for health and wellbeing.

Nature for Health is a shared project that collaborates with individuals and communities.

This programme has also had funding from the UK Government.

Attendees were guided by chef Aimee Walker from Earthly Feasts around the gardens to select herbs to flavour their freshly cooked cabbage rolls, sundried tomato butter, and finally stuffed dates.

Councillor Alan James, Denbighshire cabinet lead member for local development and planning, said: "We think it's really beneficial for people's health and wellbeing to not only be involved with the planting, but the cooking and eating too, and this has been a fantastic event at Corwen Community Garden to experience all of this."

The current events program can be found on their website.

Nature for Health holds sessions at Corwen Community Garden every Wednesday from 1 to 3pm for anyone interested in joining a community project or simply popping by for a chat and a cup of tea.
