AN ARTIST based in Ruthin will host his first solo exhibition in the town next week.
Tom Horton, 30, will hold his exhibition, entitled Into the Storm, at The Old Courthouse from September 22 to 29.
It will focus primarily on Tom’s large-scale portraits of “imaginary heroes and heroines”, which he says are about “hope and perseverance”.

He said: “I’m self-taught, and am just beginning my career as an artist.
“I have previously won first prize at MoMA Wales’s annual Tabernacle competition, and exhibited my work at Oriel Mon as part of the Kyffin Williams Drawing Prize.
“They (portraits) are about hope and perseverance. I believe art is needed in difficult times, and can help guide us to a better life.”
