A DARING Ruthin builders' merchant employee has taken the plunge with a skydive to raise money for three fantastic causes.
Kristy Roberts - who works at MKM Building Supplies in Ruthin - and her friend Adrian Bailey of Wrexham took off from an airfield in Whitchurch and climbed to 13,000ft before leaping out in a tandem jump with an instructor.
Kristy, from Ruthin, was raising money for Ysgol Plas Brondyffryn in Denbigh and Rhos Street School in Ruthin.
"I'm trying to raise money for much needed support for children with additional needs and autism," said Kristy, who has raised more than £2,500 so far via her JustGiving page here. "I'd really like to thank everyone who has donated."
Among their key supporters have been Huw, Christine, Ffion and Sioned Howatson of Ruthin-based contractors H&C Howatson Ltd.
Adrian, from Wrexham, took on the challenge to raise funds for his son’s football team - CPD Dinas Wrexham.
"I was really excited to do the skydive," he said. "As the time got closer the nervous kicked in, but I couldn't wait to jump.
"Going up in the plane was nerve-wracking and coming down was a massive adrenaline rush!"
Adrian raised £450 to help the club with kit and other supplies this season.
