SEVERAL flood alerts remain in place across North East Wales - including parts of Denbighshire - today (October 2) following days of heavy rainfall.
After heavy showers over the weekend and into the start of this week, Natural Resources Wales (NRW) issued alerts for five areas.
No more rain is forecast for the rest of the week, with hopes that any flooding will ease.
This morning however, NRW have flood alerts in place for the River Alyn at Rossett, Alyn catchment, River Dee communities from Llangollen to Trevalyn Meadows, River Alyn at Mold and the Lower Dee catchment.
For the Lower Dee catchment - areas around the River Dee from Llangollen to Trevalyn Meadows are most affected.
For the River Alyn at Mold, NRW said: "Parts of the town around Leadmill, Ponterwyl, Glanyrafon, Pentre and Broncoed.
"River levels are rising. Flooding to property is possible. Flooding of low-lying land and roads is expected. Flood defences are now in operation and inspections taking place. Overtopping and/or breaches of these defences may cause flooding to properties at risk."
NRW added: "Flooding of low-lying land and roads is expected. Rainfall is currently affecting this area. River Levels are above normal levels. We will continue to monitor the situation."
For the River Alyn, Rossett and the Alyn catchment areas, NRW said: "River levels are rising. Flooding to property is possible. Flooding of low-lying land and roads is expected. The weather conditions are expected to deteriorate."
