What makes the Bridge End Hotel among Britain's best for a cheap break this autumn
After a lengthy closure, the new owners of the Bridge End Hotel in Llangollen re-opened the site in September after a £1.5 million renovation.
The Telegraph said this new-look hotel was the perfect spot for an autumn break because of its location and the autumnal activities nearby.
The news outlet explained: "The hotel overlooks both the river Dee and the Llangollen and Corwen steam railway, and is located in one of the most attractive towns in North Wales.
"Autumnal activities in the vicinity range from white water rafting to horse-drawn canal boat trips."
The Bridge End Hotel boasts a 4 (out of 5) rating on Tripadvisor from 253 reviews.
A visitor from early this month (October) left a glowing review of the new look hotel, saying: "Excellent hotel, we can highly recommend it. The room we stayed in was finished to a great standard, everything looked new.
"It felt cozy and we appreciated the tea/coffee and short bread in the room. Very friendly and welcoming staff and superb choice of breakfast this morning.
"We'll definitely love to stay here again, really good value for money in the heart of Llangollen.
"We parked in a nearby public car park, £4 a day. Flat walk to the hotel, took us less than 5 minutes."
