THE FUTURE of Welsh democracy is in safe hands according to North Wales MS Llŷr Gruffydd after he welcomed St Asaph school pupils to the Senedd.
The Shadow Minister for Rural Affairs invited a group of students from Ysgol Glan Clwyd to Cardiff to give them a guided tour and show them how the Welsh Parliament works.
The young people had the opportunity to quiz the Plaid Cymru MS as they learned about Welsh democracy.
"It was an absolute pleasure," said Mr Gruffydd. "It was so pleasing to see the enthusiasm from these pupils about how democracy works in Wales and how they can help shape it so that it benefits our communities.
"They showed a real appetite for learning how they could drive issues that affect them and their communities higher up the political agenda.
“They asked thoughtful and incisive questions which would not have been out of place in the Senedd chamber.
"Some of them could well be the politicians in years to come and that gives me confidence that the future of our democracy here in Wales is in safe hands."
