A rally is set to cause major disruption with roads temporarily closing and speed restrictions being lifted.
The Cambrian Rally, taking place on Saturday, October 26, will see Denbighshire roads closed from 6am to 9pm.
The rally will see temporary road closures, clearways, and the suspension of 20mph speed restrictions on certain roads.
The closure will affect the length of road known as Hiraethog Chapel to B5105 Saw Mill, Hiraethog, Pennant to Caer Weirglodd, Cyffylliog, and the road from Caer Weirglodd to Bontuchel.
Additionally, Maestyddyn Road and Spur Clawddnewydd, a forestry track off Maestyddyn Road Clawddnewydd, and the road from B4501 Brenig Road to Brenig North Shore car park, Nantglyn, will also be temporarily closed.
Clearway restrictions will be in effect, prohibiting any unauthorised vehicle from stopping or remaining at rest on the specified lengths of road.
Speed restrictions will also be temporarily suspended relating to any vehicle used in conjunction with the Cambrian Rally.
This applies to the length of Hiraethog chapel to B5105 Saw Mill, Hiraethog in the County of Denbigh which extends northward from a point 290 metres north of its junction with the road known as ‘track from Waen Uchaf to Cefn Du’ for a distance of 80 metres.
Denbighshire County Council has confirmed it will not be possible to maintain pedestrian access for the public on the closed sections.
Alternative routes have been set up for some of the closures.
For the closures of Hiraethog Chapel to B5105 Saw Mill, Hiraethog, Pennant to Caer Weirglodd, and Caer Weirglodd to Bontuchel, the alternative route is via the road opposite Ysgubor Isa to Cil Llwyn, Clocaenog to Bontuchel, Glandwr junction to Old School Cottage, Cefn Isa to Clocaenog, Old Toll Bar Road from Clocaenog to Tyn y Mynydd, Tal Borth junction with B5105 to Tyn y Mynydd, and B5105.
However, no alternative routes will be available for the closures involving Maestyddyn Road and Spur Clawddnewydd, the forestry track off Maestyddyn Road Clawddnewydd, and the road from B4501 Brenig Road to Brenig North Shore car park.
