A programme has delivered £1 million to small Denbighshire businesses.
The Start Up Loans programme, a part of the British Business Bank, has delivered the funding to 105 small businesses in the county since launching.
Each small business received an average loan of £9,327.
Across Wales, the programme has provided more than £50 million in funding, equating to 4,750 loans.
The Start Up Loans programme, which offers Government-backed loans of up to £25,000 per individual and up to £100,000 per business, also provides successful applicants with free mentoring, resources, and advice.
Services, small business, and exports minister Gareth Thomas said: "This £50 million milestone is an important one for businesses right across Wales.
"We know that access to finance has become a significant problem for many small businesses, which is why we’re committed to working with the British Business Bank to support SMEs as much as possible, wherever they are in the country."
Louise McCoy, commercial managing director of small business lending at the British Business Bank, said: "Start Up Loans is proud to have provided more than £50 million worth of funding to business owners across Wales since 2012.
"Reaching this significant milestone of delivering £1 million in loans to small businesses in Denbighshire is something we’re really pleased to have achieved.
"We hope that aspiring business owners in Denbighshire are inspired by the stories of successful businesses that have launched with the support of a Start Up Loan and get in touch with us at the start of their own business journey."
To further aid small businesses, the Start Up Loans programme has released an 'Essential Guide to Starting a Business', offering advice for first-time business owners.
