POLICE have charged a man on suspicion of murder following an incident in Rhyl.
North Wales Police were called at 10.30pm on Thursday (October 24) to a residential property on Cefndy Road; a 69-year-old woman was subsequently taken to hospital with life threatening injuries.
Sadly, police confirmed on Saturday (October 26) that the woman had died following the incident.
Dean Mark Albert Mears, 33, of Bodelwyddan Avenue, Kinmel Bay has been charged on suspicion of murder and will appear before Magistrates in Llandudno tomorrow (Monday).
Detective Chief Inspector Lee Boycott said: “Our investigation continues, and I would urge anyone with information who has not yet come forward to contact us via our live webchat or on 101.
