SPOOKY season is still in full swing as a horde of scarecrows has taken over Ruthin!

If you've noticed a few strange faces popping up around town in the last few days that's because the Ruthin Scarecrow Trail is back!

With residents and businesses getting into the spirit - whether that's autumnal or something a little more scary - there's lots of funny, frightening and fabulous scarecrows to find.

Organised by Ruthin Town Council, there is a trail map to help you find all 30 official scarecrows here but stay alert - you never know when you might spot a cheeky additional one somewhere - including a late entry at Ruthin Castle!

What's more, the council is offering prizes for the top three entries in this year's competition.

And this year's entries are more creative than ever. At Daniel Morris Butchers you'll find 'Dan' taking a break while if you head down to Llys Marchan, ClwydAlyn Housing residents have put together an incredible Beetlejuice scene - although that's the last time we'll be saying that!

ReSource have also got in on the act with their multi-eyed, tentacled scrap monster scarecrow while Little Acorns Day Care's scarecrow is definitely 'Up'.
