A HOTEL and spa near St Asaph has received a prestigious ‘Good Food Award’ for restaurants.

The White House Hotel Restaurant and Spa, on Holywell Road, Rhuallt, was recognised with the ‘Blue Ribbon’ award at the Good Food Awards, which has celebrated culinary excellence across the UK since 2002.

Largely based on customer feedback/votes and online reviews, Blue Ribbon and Gold Seal honours are awarded to establishments that show “exceptional food quality, service, and value”.

The hotel and spa has seen some famous guests, with Location, Location, Location presenter Phil Spencer visiting earlier this year.

The business said of the award win: “We are so pleased to announce we have been awarded a Blue Ribbon Award from The Good Food Guide.

“Thank you to our amazing staff for all your hard work, it's brilliant to see it rewarded.

“Thank you to our amazing customer for all your support We are looking forward to a busy next few weeks.”

A spokesperson for the Good Food Awards said: “The Good Food Awards have delighted readers and fans over the years by introducing them to an eclectic tapestry of flavours.

“We've built up a reputation for shining a spotlight on delicious dishes and unearthing culinary gems."

“We believe awards should be based on what matters most, customer opinions.

"Using nominations, feedback, votes, and online reviews we ensure the Good Food Awards reflect the views of real foodies, like you.”
