A HAT-trick from Robbie Williams helped Corwen to a 6-1 win at Castell Alun Colts in the North-East Wales Football League Premier Division.
The result was particularly impressive as Corwen had fallen behind early on, when Craig Worthington fired past Evan Parry.
The away side went in search of an equaliser as Alex Webster whipped a corner into the Castell Alun box, where Leslie Brophy sent his header just wide of the far post.
Corwen had to wait until the stroke of half time to level. Alex Webster found the head of Brophy, who made no mistake.
Early in the second half a header struck the bar and rebounded into the path Scott Evans, who played the ball back to Robbie Williams.
He was able to find the back of the net and give Corwen the lead.
Corwen were now on top and and a brilliant angled shot by Henry Evans put them 3-1 in front.
Parry started a Corwen attack by launching the ball forward, which was collected by Owen Cordiner.
He played in Williams to score his second goal and make it 4-1.
Shortly afterwards Corwen were awarded a penalty kick.
Despite Williams being on a hat-trick, Webster took the responsibility of taking the spot kick.
Although Dylan Adams guessed right, he was unable to make a save and the ball went into the net.
Williams looked to complete his hat-trick as he was able to find some space and head the ball towards goal. But his effort went wide of the target.
He got his wish late on. Joseph Ephraim crossed the ball to Williams, who completed his hat-trick by slotting home to cap a memorable afternoon in Hope.
