FOUR runners from Denbigh Harriers ran the Winter Trail Gaeaf on Saturday, a new race at Coed Y Brenin.
It was a 7 miles route with 1,500ft ascent mostly on single track and paths, with technical ascents and descents thrown in.
Conditions were warm but drizzly.
Tony Wood had a terrific race finishing 3rd out of 210 men in 49:14.
There was a large field of 234 female runners and Harrier Eleanor Ashcroft finished sixth lady in an impressive time of 58:36.
Emma Collins was 19th lady in 105:43 and took the 1st V60 trophy, with Lee Evans running strong finishing 25th lady in 108:48.
Meanwhile, Mark Watling and Owen Conry travelled to Brecon to compete in the 119th Welsh Cross Country Championships.
Both had excellent races amongst tough competition with Mark Watling taking the 1st M65 spot, and Owen Conry finishing 16th in the M55 category.
Finally, Steve Gadd ran the Wrexham Village Bakery half marathon on Sunday in lovely mild, calm and non-rainy conditions.
Steve had a great run on this flat, fast course finishing in an impressive time of 1:27:50 - 21st in V59 category.
