DENBIGH Town defender Tony Davies has opted to stay in Tier 2 North after agreeing a deal with a title challenger.
The Denbighshire Free Press understands that the experience centre-half has signed for ambitious Flint Town United ahead of the new season.
Davies will once again link-up with manager Niall McGuinness, with the pair having worked closely together before at Rhyl.
The former Bala Town standout arrived at Central Park in the summer from the Lilywhites, where he was brought in by the joint-management team of Dewi Llion and Matthew Jones.
He was the subject of a bid from relegated JD Welsh Premier League side Llandudno during the January transfer window, but opted to stay at Town and help them in their fight for survival.
Things did not go according to plan for Town and Davies during the second half of the campaign, with the club relegated to the Lock Stock Welsh Alliance after finishing second the previous season.
Davies will now join a United side who are harbouring big ambitions for a top flight promotion berth during the upcoming campaign, with the Silkmen also securing the services of talented forward Danny Andrews from Colwyn Bay.
