CORWEN manager Danny Jellicoe has left the role with immediate effect.
The Denbighshire Free Press understands that the JD Cymru North side agreed to mutually part ways with the talented boss following a disappointing start to life in the second tier, which sees the club sit second from bottom of the standings.
They are yet to secure a win following a memorable promotion campaign last term, achieving two points from their opening eight contests.
Jellicoe, who enjoyed a glittering playing career at the likes of Bala Town and Denbigh Town, had a tremendous amount of success during his two years at the helm, securing an elusive promotion to JD Cymru North level thanks to a series of outstanding displays.
This gave him a reputation as one of the brightest young managers anywhere in the country, but the club has found things much more difficult this time around against high-profile sides with bigger budgets.
Also departing the set-up is Tom Mutton, who has also mutually agreed to move on after playing a huge part in the club’s rise to prominence.
The ex-Swansea City star made his presence felt both on-and-off the pitch during his time within the fold.
A formal statement from the club is expected in due course.
