THERE were plenty of goals about as Ruthin Town Youth FC sides took to the pitch on Saturday.
Taking the main plaudits for the club were Ruthin Town U15s, who beat battling Brymbo 10-2.
Gruff Hughes Owen netted four, with Rueben Astbury grabbing a hat-trick.
The tally was completed by Berwyn Dafydd, Owen Robinson and an own goal.
Two goals from Christian Asbury helped Ruthin Town U14s to a magnificent 7-0 success at Rhos Aelwyd.
Also on the scoresheet were Will Hughes, Will Morris, George Lawton, Jesse Norris and Sion Williams.
Ruthin Blues U14s lost out 8-0 versus Borras Park Rangers, while Ruthin Town U13s made their point against Gresford.
Daniel Roberts (2), Ciaran Roberts and Fay Hand netted in a thrilling 4-4 draw.
