HANDICAP reductions have been severe under the current rules of the Winter League, yet members of Denbigh Golf Club are still returning impressive scores and suffering further penalties.

Huw Parry, playing on Saturday (March 5), recorded six birdies in a practically flawless round, resulting with a handicap of +5 for the duration of the league.

Darren Foulkes also returned a great score and is now reduced to +2.

It was Neil Davies who topped week 18 to gain the maximum points, but Mike Hughes still held firm to his lead position.

At last, the ladies also returned to play this week, having had a number of their competitions cancelled owing to the adverse weather.
