HOME friendlies have been helping Denbigh Town to prepare for the new Ardal North West League season.
Over the weekend, Dewi Llion's side played host to Ardal North East League Cefn Albion in a pre-season contest.
It finished up 1-1, with recent acquisition Owen Cordiner on target for Denbigh.
Jake Walker went close to sealing victory, but his attempt struck the crossbar, while Denbigh had another effort ruled out for offside.
Earlier in the week, Denbigh lost out 3-0 in a friendly encounter at home to Cymru Premier League Bala Town.
A trialist grabbed two of the Lakesiders' goals, with Luke Wall also on the scoresheet.
Denbigh open their league season at home to Llanrwst United on Friday evening (7.30pm).
