BALA Town's promising run in the Cymru Premier League came to a halt with a heavy home loss versus The New Saints.
The Lakesiders lost out 5-0 as they slipped to fourth spot in the table.
Craig Harrison's visitors preserved their unbeaten record and they remain four points clear at the top.
In the worst possible start for Bala, the Saints were ahead as early as the fifth minute.
Ben Clark's initial effort was blocked on the line, however he tucked away the rebound from close range.
It was soon 2-0 to the visitors.
Adrian Cieslewicz supplied the delivery to the back post and Adam Wilson headed in.
In the first real opportunity for Town, Luke Wall had an effort that was gathered by Connor Roberts.
It was effectively game over when The New Saints bagged their third goal of the afternoon.
Wilson's cross from the left found Josh Daniels and he was able to turn the ball in from close range.
If that wasn't bad enough for Bala, even worse was to follow just a couple of minutes later.
Wilson slotted in his second goal of the contest via a powerful strike into the top corner.
Leading scorer Declan McManus then got his name on the scoresheet after an hour to make it 5-0.
Bala will be looking for better fortune as they head to Haverfordwest County on Saturday.
