FOR the second week in a row, Bala Town had to be satisfied with a Cymru Premier League point.
Following on from a goalless outcome with Penybont, Colin Caton's side secured a 1-1 draw from their trip to Connah's Quay Nomads.
The hosts made a bright start and George Horan had the first opportunity, which he was unable to direct on target.
However, the early pressure gained its reward when Neil Gibson's side took the lead.
John Disney’s ball into the box was headed back across goal by Mike Wilde and Jack Kenny was there to nod home from close range.
Bala looked to respond and a Lassana Mendes ball in was headed on target by Quay defender Ben Nash, but keeper Andy Firth saved his blushes with a diving save.
Nomads were reduced to 10 men with 10 minutes of the first half remaining.
Harry Franklin dived in on Bala full back Naim Arsan and he received straight red card.
Bala instantly looked to capitalise as Mendes looked to lob Firth, but his effort was narrowly over the top.
Bala tested Firth for the first time in the second half as Adam Roscrow set up Antony Kay, whose strike from distance required a fine save from Firth.
The extra man eventually took its toll as Bala found their leveller through Roscrow.
The Bala forward stood over a free kick 25 yards from goal and sent a curling effort beyond Firth to make it 1-1.
