TOUGH pin positions at Ruthin Pwllglas Golf Club over weekend did not deter Alistair Syme.

Alistair, a former Free Press editor, blew away the competition with an excellent haul of 42 points.

This was enough for a three-point margin of victory over Division One winner Joe Jones.

Winter league leader Joshua Duckworth was not in the prizes during the week, but he did increase his overall lead to 18 points with a steady 36 points.

Harvey Jones is in second place, with last week's hole-in-one hero Oliver Grey third.
