TALENTED Vale of Clwyd hockey players will now go on to show off their talents alongside the very best in Wales.
Ruthin Hockey Club's U12s' boys team have managed to qualify for the Welsh club finals.
On Sunday, the Ruthin team took to the pitch in the regional qualifying tournament against clubs from all over North Wales.
Undeterred, the Ruthin team demonstrated an excellent attitude throughout the day and they were unbeaten in all of their matches.
Having played well throughout the morning, Ruthin's boys still needed a positive result in their final match against local rivals Northop Hall to make sure they progressed.
And Ruthin managed to achieve this with an outstanding goal by Luke Shutt, which levelled the score and ensured that the Vale boys drew their final match.
This result made sure of qualification to the Welsh national finals in South Wales.
Praise must go to the whole team, however, a special mention goes to Kieran Jones making his debut in goal and Nico Tardivel, who gave a player of the day performance in his first competitive matches ever for Ruthin.
