ST ASAPH have suffered their first loss of the North Wales Cricket League Premier Division campaign.
Brymbo are expected to be challenging for the top honour this season and their title credentials came to the fore as they eased to an eight-wicket success at Elwy Grove Park.
St Asaph went into the match sitting at the top of the table following two wins from their opening two encounters.
However, it was Brymbo skipper Dan Parry who won the toss and he opted to spend the opening portion of the day in the field.
Opener Dan Evans was in good form for the Saints with his knock of 57, while skipper Will Ryan struck 52.
Other good efforts came from the likes of Ajaypal Singh (29) and Rohit Kaimal (19) as St Asaph's 50 overs yielded 195 for six.
Mohamed Nilam Jayman picked up 2-30 for the visitors.
St Asaph's spell in the field did get off to a positive start and they managed to reduce their opponents to 29 for two.
That's as good as it got for the home side, though, as an unbroken stand of 168 for the third wicket gave Brymbo victory.
Jason Underwood (100 not out) and Chris Taylor (74 not out) weren't for shifting as Brymbo reached their target with almost 10 overs to spare.
Gareth Goodson and Robbie Pryor claimed a wicket apiece for St Asaph.
