Denbigh Dragons Swimming Club continued competing throughout October.
On Saturday 28th October they were at Holywell Leisure Centre for the Geoff Drew AA & B Graded Meet.
This was a Level 3 Meet, which is aimed at Regional and Club swimmers and encourages swimmers with no times too who are starting out in their swimming career.
12 Denbigh swimmers took part in 25 races, with ages ranging from nine to 15.
Of them, six swimmers were taking part in their first swimming competition – Meredith Cummings, Cerys Dutton, Ella Hayes, Gwen Hayes, Joshua McCloskey-Jones and Saoirse McDonnell.
The rest of the team consisted of Seren Rowles, Aydin Althaf, Olivia Bexon, Kate Davies, Elenid Parry and Mared Parry.
The Dragons achieved a magnificent 19 Top 10 finishes, and Personal Best times continued to be broken.
There was a large haul of medals:
Grade AA
Elenid Parry, 10, won two silver medals (100m Breast, 100m Butterfly) and two bronze medals (100m Individual Medley, 100m Free).
Grade B
Saoirse McDonnell, nine, achieved a Gold Medal (50m Back). Ella Hayes, 10, collected two Gold Medals (100m Free, 100m Breast). Mared Parry,12, secured a Silver Medal (200m Individual Medley) and Bronze Medal (100m Back). Joshua McCloskey-Jones, 10, succeeded in winning a Bronze Medal (100m Free)
