SPOT-ON Llanrhaeadr have made sure of a Summer League double for the season.
The league champions claimed the Evans and Bridson Memorial Shield via a 3-0 final win over Llanfair, making sure of their first double since 1955.
Llanfair, the Shield runners-up 12 months ago, did have the ball in the net in the first half, but this was ruled out for a push in the box.
Two penalty awards early in the second half saw Llanrhaeadr take control of the showdown at Rhewl.
Both spot kicks were tucked away by Sam Jones, who finished up with 28 goals for the campaign.
The league's leading scorer Llyr Morris put the icing on the cake with his side's third goal late on in proceedings.
This was Morris' 37th strike of the season and he would pick up the league's golden boot during the post-match presentation.
He was also given the man of the match award.
Llanfair had booked their spot in the final with a 3-1 semi-final triumph versus Clawddnewydd.
Harri Tudor, Meredydd Jones and Ynyr Rogers netted for Llanfair, with Jordan MacCarter on the scoresheet for Clawddnewydd.
