COBRA secured a bonus point victory over Dinbych with a final score of 35 points to 17 over the weekend.

Despite a determined defensive effort, Dinbych struggled to contain COBRA's powerful forwards, who excelled in scrums and physical play.

The match began with COBRA maintaining possession in Dinbych's half.

After several short-range scrums, scrum-half Aled Davies touched down for an unconverted try within the first ten minutes.

Dinbych faced a significant setback when prop Chris Griffiths was injured due to a collapsing scrum, leading to a ten-minute halt for medical attention.

However, Dinbych responded unexpectedly as Dan O’Sullivan wrongfooted the COBRA defence with a strong run from halfway to score a try, which Tommy Jones converted to give Dinbych the lead.

COBRA quickly regained the upper hand when Dinbych conceded a penalty, and Llywellyn Williams successfully converted from 25 metres out.

Despite constant pressure from COBRA, Dinbych struck back when full-back Gruff Roberts made a solo break from halfway for an unconverted try.

The first half ended with wing Wil Jones crossing in the corner for Dinbych’s third try, giving them a 17-8 lead.

However, Dinbych's defensive efforts took a toll, allowing COBRA to dominate the early stages of the second half.

Things worsened for Dinbych when flanker Reuben Valdoers received a yellow card for a high tackle, and Llywellyn Williams added the penalty.

COBRA took the lead with a try from flanker Chris Morris, followed by another successful conversion from Williams.

A penalty from Williams extended COBRA's lead to 21-17.

Towards the end of the match, COBRA secured their victory with two more tries, one from Iwan Vaughan and another from Aled Davies, both converted by Williams.
