Corwen secured a thrilling 4-3 victory over Trearddur Bay over the weekend.
After three away games, Corwen returned to their home ground, the War Memorial Park, to face Trearddur Bay, who were also newly promoted to the third tier of Welsh football after finishing champions of the North Wales Coast West Premier League.
The match began with a free kick awarded to Corwen in a promising position, but Sam Henry sent the ball straight into the wall.
At the other end, Harri Jones saw his shot saved by Corwen's goalkeeper, Tyler French.
With nine minutes on the clock, some great play from Merion Williams allowed Tom Williams to break through the Bay defence, slotting the ball into the far bottom corner to open the scoring for Corwen.
The away side sought to equalise, coming close in the 15th minute when a shot bounced on the Corwen goal line before being cleared.
Seven minutes later, the hosts struggled to clear the ball, allowing Toby Jones to fire a shot that went narrowly wide.
In the 25th minute, a corner from Dion Donohue was met with a powerful header from Thomas Taylor, levelling the scores.
The visitors pressed for a lead, but Stevie Jones’s header went just over the bar.
As the first half drew to a close, it appeared the teams would go in level until the fifth minute of stoppage time.
Toby Jones played the ball across to Stevie Jones, who lashed it into the back of the net, giving Trearddur Bay a 2-1 lead at the break.
After the interval, Corwen's Henry Evans received the ball in the Bay penalty area but saw his shot go wide under pressure.
In the 73rd minute, substitute Shaun Cavanagh cut inside and blasted a shot into the far corner, extending Trearddur Bay's lead to 3-1.
Corwen responded quickly, with Scott Evans scoring from distance two minutes later to halve the deficit.
Ten minutes on, Scott attempted to equalise with a shot that was blocked.
In the third minute of stoppage time, Trearddur Bay had a chance to seal victory from a free kick, but the effort went over the bar.
A minute later, Tom Mann crossed the ball into the box, where Oliver Crimp headed it home to level the scores at 3-3.
The visitors pressed for a late winner, but Tyler French made a brilliant save from Cavanagh.
Following the save, Tyler launched the ball to Mann, who assisted debutant Calyn Spencer, slotting it home in the seventh minute of stoppage time for a dramatic Corwen victory.
